A tattoo transfer paper is a tool for styling any tattoo. With it you can create a temporary tattoo or provide some sort of a guide to make a permanent one. Whatever you can make out of a transfer paper can be transferred onto a permanent tattoo. The design possibilities are only limited by your very own creativity. Here are some tips on how to use a tattoo transfer paper.
Using a Tattoo Transfer Paper
If you don’t want to create your own designs or don’t have enough talent to create magnificent tattoo designs you can still make use of a transfer paper. All you have to do is to look for designs or patterns that you like. Run the drawings or designs you like on a thermal-fax or a thermographic transfer maker. The result is a copy of the original drawing or pattern.
Double check the drawing if you get the results you like. If you want to add any specific changes to the design you intend to make, now is the time to make them. If you are doing this for a client then you should show them the copy and ask for whatever modifications they want done.
With the design ready you are now to prepare to transfer the tattoo. You need to dampen the part of the skin where the tattoo is to be placed. You can use a deodorant stick to do this. A cheaper alternative is to use plain soap and water.
You then place the tattoo transfer paper on the part of the skin that was dampened. Press the paper gently onto this part of the skin. While pressing the transfer paper onto the skin, make sure that it does not shift in its position. The drawing or design won’t transfer correctly and thus you won’t get the results you designed. If you do make the mistake of letting the paper shift from its original place you would have to start all over again.
After the design has been transferred correctly you should check it again to make sure you get the right pattern transferred. See if you have all the desired details covered before you actually start tattooing. You might want to look in a mirror just to make sure you have the desired size. You should also check if you like where the design is located. You should do all the adjustments at this point before you start making the tattoo following the pattern you have made using the tattoo transfer paper.
Ideal Uses
There are many uses for a tattoo transfer paper. You can make temporary tattoos or work the design of your desired permanent tattoo before you actually do it on your skin. That way you can preview the exact pattern or design you want.
